ODA Customs Modernization Consulting Project

UNI-PASS Around the World

The Korea Customs Service (KCS) has been conducting the “Customs Modernization Consulting Project,” financed through Korea’s ODA grant, in three to four recipient countries each year. Its aim is to share Korea’s experience in customs modernization by assessing the current status of customs administrations of the participating countries and proposing optimal future models. Since its launch in 2012, the project has covered 29 countries, assisting in their modernization efforts.

Countries that submit a Letter of Intent (LoI) become preliminary candidates and enter a selection process. Once selected, KCS experts conduct an on-site feasibility study (F/S). Based on the F/S report and the Project Concept Paper (PCP), proposals are submitted to the Korean government for final approval and funding.
If your country is interested in participating, please email your LoI to unipass@korea.kr.
