- Dissemination of Experiences in Digital Customs for the Support for Trade Security and Trade Facilitation -
□ The Korea Customs Service (KCS) will hold the 'Invitational Seminar on Trade Facilitation for Directors-General/Commissioners of customs administrations in the Eurasian countries' from Monday of August 29 to Thursday of September 1 in Daejeon and Busan.
ㅇ This seminar will be held with the participation of 17 high-level customs officials including Directors-General and Deputy Directors-General from 11 countries* in Europe and the Middle East as well as the Balkan Peninsula and Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) under the theme of 'Digital Customs and Trade Facilitation'.
* (Participant Countries) Kazakhstan, Iran, Turkey, Ukraine, Jordan, Belarus, Macedonia, Serbia, Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, and Turkmenistan
□ Through this seminar, the KCS will introduce the customs administrative system which is based on the advanced information technology (IT), as well as the electronic clearance system (UNI-PASS).
□ The KCS will also hold bilateral meetings with Kazakhstan and Serbia to discuss mutual cooperative measures for the establishment of Digital Customs including exportation of the e-clearance system and the projet to establish a master plan for customs administration (BPR project).
□ The KCS is to continue with these seminars and make efforts to support the advancement of the clearance environment in the Eurasian region and utilize the seminars to disseminate the e-clearance system of the KCS (UNI-PASS) to the CIS region.
